Ex-British Army Corporal joins Screen Rescue Chelmsford as Windscreen & Glass Repairs Specialist Technician

Screen Rescue franchisor, co-founder and director, Amanda Hilario is delighted to announce Johnny Hay has been appointed as Screen Rescue Chelmsford Windscreen & Glass Repair Specialist Technician.

Johnny arrives fresh from completing his notice at John Banks Honda Motorcycles where he will be sorely missed.

Prior to this Johnny served nine years in HM Armed Forces (British Army) as Corporal where he holds an impressive Certificate of Service. Here, he was also awarded the UN Brigadier General’s Commendation for exceptional commitment and professionalism.      

"It was this exceptional commitment and professionalism that first caught our attention, says Amanda. "We went through a rigorous recruitment process and had received an unparallelled response to our January job advert - Johnny was amongst 33 applicants. He responded at rapid pace to several emails and demonstrated extraordinary attention to detail, dedication and competence."

"During the interview process there is a live demonstration of a standard windscreen repair, he adds. "Then each applicant is invited to carry out a repair by themselves on a simulated windscreen damage. Johnny handled the tools and followed the processes he had just seen with a refreshing level of genuine interest and pride I had not seen in any other applicant.

Since his hire, Johnny has sailed through his Onboarding Training with remarkable ease and has settled very naturally into his role operating within the Chelmsford postcode territory.
